Angel Cafe

Now dear reader, being students ourselves we fully understand when you think "I can't afford that, I have to drink myself to death!" So when we suggest heading down to Angel Cafe on Free School Lane (opposite the Waterside centre near the bingo hall), please hear us out and don't look so affronted.
The coffee shop offers a range of teas, coffees and hot chocolates for anyone to enjoy. If you are so impatient that you tend to scold yourself drinking hot drinks then don't worry, they offer cold ones as well.
The most surprising thing about the quaint little chapel is the paninis. They offer a range from cheese and meatball to chicken salsa, peri peri chicken and one filled entirely with peppers (madness). The paninis on offer are delicious but we wouldn't say they are moreish, just that they leave you wanting more. The difference here being that you aren't left wanting more panini you are left wishing you were full.
At £3.95 a pop it's safe to say this is the place to take Mum and Dad when they come visit and demand to buy you lunch. They can admire the art on the walls and the relaxed atmosphere that the Angel Coffee Shop emits whilst you enjoy your panina safe in the knowledge that it didn't cost you a penny.
