I always go to Slug and Lettuce on a Monday because it is so cheap. All the food is half price meaning you can get a good meal for under £5. A tip for going on a Monday is to try and avoid going at lunch time. This is their busiest period and I have been many times to find that there is no table available. I went this time at 4 in the evening and there was plenty of choice.

This time when I went I wanted to try something new so I had the cheapest thing on the menu, the slug and lettuce classic burger.

The service was very fast and we received our food very quickly. The burger comes out on what looks like a chopping board with the burger in one corner coleslaw in the other and a cup of chips in the other. The burger was very big and stacked high it was hard to eat but I see this as a good thing you want a good hearty burger it will fill you up.

The chips were cooked to perfection with them being crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. If I was to try and fault the food in anyway it would have to be the sauce in the burger I opened it up to see that the mayonnaise was a tiny blob in the centre of the bun this made the burger quite dry.

That fault was me being picky overall I love this restaurant and would recommend anyone to go to it.
